The Diasporadical Initiative is honoured to be a member of the Emancipation Day Planning Committee. We invite all Barbadians,residents and visitors to join the March for Freedom & Justice on Emancipation Day, Saturday, August 1, 2026.
Also on Display: A Student-Built Ancestral Pyramid
As part of the day’s events, we will be showcasing a 3-foot clay pyramid, hand-built by Class 2 students from Bayley’s and St. Catherine’s Primary Schools, as part of our 12-week Ancestral Intelligence – Sustainable Models project. Through STEM-based learning, students explored how ancient African civilizations built enduring systems rooted in balance with nature, bringing their discoveries to life through this hands-on creation.
